Project Overview

The Trikala Skatepark is a competition entry for a new public space dedicated to skate culture in Trikala, Greece. The proposal reimagines a vacant urban plot as a dynamic civic landscape – merging movement, youth culture, and green infrastructure in one cohesive intervention.

Inspired by the rhythms of skating itself, the design features layered ramps, rails, ledges, and a sculptural bowl integrated into a continuous concrete surface. Soft landscape elements and seating zones create spaces for rest, performance, and observation – inviting users of all ages to participate or spectate.

Rooted in local identity and inclusive design principles, the project promotes active lifestyles, urban vibrancy, and social connection. It was shortlisted among top entries for its balanced approach to form, function, and community value.
